Bonaventura Anson was born in Tossa (in the province of Girona) in 1945.
It is a good place of birth for he who, at first, is of the opinion that to feel is more important than to reason and because, there, history has developed a niche miles from anywhere which, after fulfilling and satisfying the necessities of life, allows man acces to the essential harmony, and at the same time, meaning of nature and human activity, converted into archaeological remains erected at such times when there has been an enriching artistic presence content to settle there.

1968 The artist explains: “I consider 1968 the starting year in my professional life. Before that I had taken part in art exhibitions for young people and in regional art competitions which are not important enough to mention here.
In 1968, the 68 in Paris, I was awarded the first prize of my life: the Special Prize from Direcció General de BBAA when the International Prize of Tossa de Mar was still important. In the following years 1969 and 1970 I was shortlisted for Blanco y Negro in Madrid and for a collective exhibition in Sant Pol de Mar (Barcelona).
