Carlo Buergi - Born 1959 in Switzerland. At present he lives in Flaca and works in Ventallo, (Alt Empordà, Girona) Catalunya, Spain.
Carlo Buergi, cosmopolitan, painter and sculptor, is calling one of his creations "Pandora“, “Space - Time - Continuum“ and “Eternal Gates“. Three topics which apparently don’t fit together, but in realty support each other without touching one or the other.
Carlo Buergi found himself inspirited by the Greek myth of Pandora, where he was especially interested into the content of Pandora’s Box, whichsoever he integrated into his paintings and sculptures.
His plastically works are representing them slim, lean and ascetic. He turned away completely from the former opulent objects. Now they are ambitious high and slim sculptures which are adverting to ad infinitum. They seem to be broken off or not being executed areas, hurt ends, breakthroughs as well as tooth systems are belonging to his works of art.
This is indices to the perishable ness, to the traces which life is writing.
