Comment :
Jaume Malaret was born in Ampurdán, a catalan region bordered by the Mediterranean Sea and the Pyrenees, birthplace of many important artists. The light and atmosphere, characteristic of the area, are the principle objects of study for this painter, who investigates their qualities to be able to recreate them on canvas. The skies, the sea or the fields are not chosen as models for their subject, but for the light and atmosphere that envelops them.
Jaume Malaret, also in Barcelona: study and workshop in street Major de Sarria nº 164, bajos. 08017 Barcelona - España T 607 24 43 90.
